Book Fair--January 24-28
The Book fair is fast approaching. The book fair will be set up in the South Activity Center beginning on Monday January 24 and ending Friday, January 28. It will be open during school hours and also during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday. Our goal is to get books into the students' hands and to encourage a love for reading.
Play of the Week for December 13, 2010 is Jonathon Mitchell and Brandon Thomas
Since school started both Brandon and Jonathon have been helping the custodians clean the lunch room several times a week. Thanks so much for your willingness to help our school soar to success.

Play of the Week for November 29 goes to Taryn Anderson, Rayelle Nielsen, and Hayley Livingston
These girls are 1st graders in Mrs. Wood' class who volunteer their time at recess to go into Mrs. Lenhart's music room and clean desks, instruments, counters, and cubbies. 2nd and 5th graders graduate from RAD Kids
The 2nd and 5th graders were able to participate in the RAD Kids program. Those who taught and made this program possible in our school are Linda Hanks, Amy Taylor, Perry Davis, and Officer Wright. RAD Kids is personal empowerment safety education. Some of the things they learn are fire safety, gun safety, bike safety, car safety. RAD kids learn that 1. No one has the right to hurth them because they are special. 2. They don't have the right to hurt others unless someone is trying to jurt them and then they have every right to STOP THEM and escape. 3. It is not their fault when someone jurts or tricks them, it's that persons fault and so they can tell. Below are pictures of the fire simulation they had and also the simulation to practice their skills to protect them from someone who tries to hurt them. Great job RAD Kids!

Dylan Cunnington is the Play of the Week for the week of November 1, 2010
Dylan is a 6th grader in Mrs. Hughes class. After finding Jordan White's folder on his way home from school, he returned it to him the next day at school. Congratulations Dylan!
It has been hard to choose just one play of the week each time. There have been many amazing acts done by the students at Red Cliffs Elementary. Keep up the good work students. Thanks for working as a team and soaring to success.
